Please read these Terms and Conditions completely using seattlespeaksgerman.com, which is owned and operated by Seattle Speaks German. This agreement documents the legally binding terms and conditions attached to the use of the Site at seattlespeaksgerman.com.
By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
For group courses:
If you cancel a course 48 or more consecutive hours in advance of the class date and time, Seattle Speaks German will refund the course fee minus the processing fee.
If you cancel a class with less than 48 consecutive hours from the scheduled date and time, or do not attend a scheduled class, the fee for the course will not be refunded and you cannot make-up or reschedule the class.
If you need to cancel a course, notify me as soon as possible. In order to cancel a course write an email with the subject cancelation with the name of the course.
If Seattle Speaks German cancels a course due to insufficent enrollment and you paid the course fee, Seattle Speaks German will refund the course fee.
For private lessons (1-one-1, 2-one-1):
If you need to reschedule a private lesson, please email the teacher at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations will be charged in full.
If you cancel a lesson, we will reschedule it to your next available time slot. If you require a refund, Seattle Speaks German will refund the class fee minus the processing fee.
To keep your designated time slot, you must book a new lesson within one week of your last scheduled lesson. If no new lessons are booked within this timeframe, your time slot may be released to other students.
Late Arrival Policy: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson may be cancelled at the instructor's discretion. In such cases, the full lesson fee will still apply, and the remaining time cannot be made up in a subsequent lesson.
Registration fee:
Each new student is required to pay a $20 registration fee. When a student is inactive and is not enrolled in any course for more than 210 days, the student account will be deleted. The new students registration fee applies again, if the student registers for a course after the account has been deleted.
General Cancellation Policy
Seattle Speaks German reserves the right to cancel a course without any liability or obligations whatsoever to anyone if, in its sole discretion, it believes enrollment is insufficient for the course or course period or for any other reason. In the event of cancellation from Seattle Speaks German, all refundable deposits and tuition fees therefore paid to it will be refunded.
Parent/Guardian Consent and Approval
I represent and warrant that I am over the age of eighteen years and the parent or legal guardian of and have the legal capacity, requisite authority, and right to contract for the individual whose name appears under student in my account. I have read and fully understand the meaning of these policies. For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which I hereby acknowledge, for and on behalf of the aforesaid individual and myself, I hereby consent to and approve the terms and conditions of the above policies and I acknowledge they will be binding upon me and the aforesaid individual, jointly and severally.
Payments are due three days prior the course start date.
For example: If the course starts on September, 24. The payment is due on September 21.
Accepted Payment Methods and Payment Processing Method
Payments are processed via PayPal.
If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can pay using a debit or credit card.
How to Make a Payment
You can pay a money request or invoice by clicking Pay Now in the email I sent you.
Check your email inbox for an email from me that includes the money request or invoice.
- Click the Pay Now button in the email. (If you don’t see it, click the link in the email, or copy and paste the link into your browser’s address bar.)
- If you already have a PayPal account, enter your password and click Log In.
- Review the money request or invoice, and then click Pay Now to complete your transaction.
OR:
- To create a new PayPal account and pay using your new account, click Sign-in and follow the instructions.
- To pay without creating a PayPal account, click debit or credit card.
Personal Information I Collect
Information From You
I collect some information directly from you when you voluntarily provide it to me, for example:
Contact Information: such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and/or username and password, if you choose to create them; including things like information submitted to schedule a private session or class.
Customer questions and Other Inquiries: such as, questions or comments you submit through online forms or via email.
Other Information You Provide: any other information you may provide to us directly through our websites for things like whitepapers or surveys, or through social media.
How to Review and Change Your Personal Information
If you register for a Seattle Speaks German account, you may review and change your personal information by logging in to your account, then clicking on your name at the top of the screen and then clicking on “Manage Profile,” or by logging into our billing portals and then clicking on “Manage My Account” and then “My Profile,” or by logging in while making an Appointment, then clicking on the “Cancel/Change/Confirm” link and then “Manage my Account.”
How I Use Personal Information That I Collect
I may use your personal information:
- as reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the purposes for which the information was provided
- to provide information, products or services
- to provide texts or emails containing information about our products or services, or events or news, that may be of interest to recipients, as permitted by law
- to comply with laws, regulations or other legal process
I may also use your personal information to:
- provide you with the services and products you request or that have been ordered
- process or collect payments for our services
- respond to your questions and otherwise provide support you request.
How I Share Your Personal Information
I do not share any of your information to a third-party.
How can you help protect your information?
If you are using Seattle Speaks German website or application for which you registered and choose a password, I recommend that you not divulge your password to anyone. I will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember to sign out of your account on the website and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if others have access to your computer.
This site and its components are offered for informational purposes only; this site shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the site, and shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information.
The Site and all of its original content are the sole property of Seattle Speaks German and are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate international copyright and other intellectual property rights laws.
I may terminate your access to the Website, without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account. All provisions of this Agreement that, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Seattle Speaks German reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, I will announce that these changes have been made on our home page and on other key pages on our site. If there are any changes in how I use our site customers' Personally Identifiable Information, notification by email or postal mail will be made to those affected by the change. Any changes to my privacy policy will be posted on our site 30 days prior to these changes taking place. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
